Employment Opportunities at Tobin

The Tobin Project seeks exceptional individuals to join our collaborative and entrepreneurial team. We are currently accepting applications to the following positions: Research Analyst, Economic Inequality Research Analyst, and Case Writer. Research Analysts work with leading social scientists and Tobin Project staff on a range of projects related to our four core initiatives to generate rigorous social science research aimed at solving important problems facing society. The Economic Inequality Research Analyst will conduct and support  new research on the effects of economic inequality on individual decision making and behavior. Case Writers will work to develop and disseminate new pedagogical case studies and promote case-based pedagogy as a transformative tool for distributing and focusing scholarship. All positions receive a competitive non-profit salary and generous benefit package and work as part of Tobin’s small, mission-driven staff from an office in the heart of Harvard Square.

We are accepting applications from top-performing professionals, recent graduates, graduate students, and undergraduates. Our ideal candidates are thoughtful, intellectually ambitious individuals with outstanding writing skills and a passion for using rigorous research to better understand the world. We will consider applications from candidates with a background in a wide range of fields, including history, political science, economics, sociology, psychology, and other related subjects. We prefer applicants to our Research Analyst positions to have independent research experience. For applicants to the Case Writer position, familiarity with case writing and the case-method is welcome, but not required.

The Tobin Project is seeking candidates able to start in summer 2018, but we would consider an earlier start date if candidates were interested and available.
