Working at the Tobin Project

The Tobin Project is an energizing and challenging place to work. Our team is small by design and we depend upon the substantial contribution of every team member. All team members are afforded responsibilities that are unique, both in scope and opportunity for impact. We recruit candidates who are intellectually curious and talented, and eager to take on key roles.

The Tobin Project staff works in an open environment, where collaboration and creative initiative on new projects or directions are encouraged and welcome. The workplace is characterized by a relatively flat organizational structure and individuals are able to access one another freely and frequently. We see office conversations scattered through the day about recent research, public policy, and future directions as a work-space for testing thoughts, and hope that Tobin Project members see one another as dynamic sources of feedback.

Across the organization, Tobin Project employees:

  • Work with leading scholars from a variety of disciplines to generate and strengthen new research

  • Develop and advance cutting-edge research programs on major problems facing society

  • Assume increasing responsibility for designing and leading projects

  • Work in a collaborative and entrepreneurial office in the heart of Harvard Square

  • Receive a competitive non-profit salary and generous benefit package

The Tobin Project boasts easy access to scores of restaurants and cafes, mass transit, entertainment, and the communities at some of America's top universities.

The Tobin Project is an equal opportunity employer. Non-US citizens/permanent residents are welcome to apply.
