The Position:
The Tobin Project seeks an exceptional individual to join our collaborative and entrepreneurial team as a Case Writer or Senior Case Writer. Case writers will work with leading scholars and Tobin Project staff to translate academic research into teaching cases and to promote case-based pedagogy as a transformative tool for disseminating scholarship and educating students. S/he will receive a competitive non-profit salary and benefit package and work as part of Tobin’s small, mission-driven staff from an office in the heart of Harvard Square.

Qualifications:
A strong candidate for the Case Writer position is a talented graduate who is intellectually ambitious and possesses outstanding writing and research skills and a passion for using rigorous research to better understand the world. Familiarity with case-method teaching and case writing is welcome, but not essential. We are looking for smart, enterprising students who are academically engaged and inclined toward active problem-solving.

Please submit a complete piece of written work (not an excerpt) – ideally one that marshals evidence in support of an argument. There is no page limit and no need to tailor the topic of discussion to Tobin’s research inquiries. Writing samples will be evaluated for clarity of reasoning, effectiveness of presentation, and style.
